A blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, this

Vineyards Direct in the Telegraph
Esme Johnstone at FVD confirmed that the wine 2006 Margaux was indeed made at Château Palmer, and bottled, marketed and sold exclusively to FVD by Palmer's part-owners, the Sichel family. More importantly, it's made with grapes from an estate that produces one of the world's most sought-after wines. Produced with the same passion as Palmer itself – it is at £18.95– “miraculously affordable”.
FVD's 2006 Margaux also has ''clues''. Without mentioning Château Palmer by name, its literature states that the wine is a "declassified wine from one of the most famous Cru Classés in Margaux" and the label itself says "Mise en Bouteille par Maison Sichel" – another hint.
FVD's 2006 Margaux retails for £18.95 a bottle compared to 2006 Château Palmer's £100-plus. This is certainly a good thing for the customer, who gets “approachable wine from major estates at an approachable price - they boast the same winemaking expertise and the same pedigree”.
