  Suffolk ham goes down a treat with this rare white Burgundy, an intriguing mix of ripe, smoky opulence and abundant crisp, appley fruit. It's made from the rare Aligoté grape, found in the obscure village of Bouzeron in southern Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise. Aubert de Villaine, co-proprietor of celebrated Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, has his hideaway there. He potters around his walled garden and quietly helps to elevate the area's reputation with superb wines like this.
