A small parcel from a chateau that is closing down as the owner has died. This 1997 is light but has a concentration of mature fruit that is at its peak now and over the next 8 months. Exceptional value for money. "Unexpectedly pleasuring because, for less than a tenner, you get a wine whose youthful cabernet and merlot characters have died back, resolving into the classic cigar box of an aged claret."
