We've found Château du Glana to be a reliable supplier of outstanding value clarets to challenge its illustrious neighbours in St.Julien, Châteaux Ducru Beaucaillou and Léoville- Barton. All are situated on a ridge of pebbles left by a glacier as it retreated along the Médoc. Such well-drained corrugations provide perfect growing conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon vines. The Meffre family who purchased this château a few years back have spent a small fortune on restoring the vineyards and the modest Château. The wine is getting better and better and represents great value for money currently.
