  Bodegas Inurrieta was created when a well to do family sold up their supermarket chain in 1999 and bought themselves a valley. The hours of sunlight, the quality of the soil, the layout of the land, the wind and the presence of the river were all determining factors when it came to choosing the spot. Reviving the traditions with which they had grown up made this project possible and they set about planting of the first vines which have now come to fruition. New vineyards, a new winery and a young winemaking team means that the wines are not bound by tradition and reflect a modern fruit-driven style.
